Chou Che Che was driving to Sri Hartamas with Jo Pi Pi beside him. They decided to visit Sri Hartamas Mall,an out of the way location from the bustle of the city. Sri Hartamas is an upper class residential and lifestyle township where the affluent people dwell.
Sri Hartamas Mall officially known as Hartamas Shopping Centre opened in 2006 to cater for rich and expatriate communities nearby. Having parked in the mall parking lot, they walked along the shops in the mall. They were doing mostly windows shopping. However, when Chou Che Che glanced at a restaurant open concept kitchen, his eyes glistened looking at the beautiful and crispy textured roast pork. His eyes looked up, Boon Signature Roast Pork (The Siu Yoke Shop) read on the restaurant signage board beaconing them to enter to savour its delicious food.
There wasn't a crowd yet, so both of them went in. They ordered two plates Roast Pork + Char Siew Noodle (Dry) and a Signature Ice Coffee. Within minutes, the food and drink arrived. A peculiar black brownish rose was on top of the iced coffee. It was a frozen coffee cube which gave the intense coffee flavour. It was good coffee.
The roast pork was divinely crispy and literally melts in their mouth. It was one of the best roast pork Chou Che Che and Jo Pi Pi had tasted. The noodles were bouncy, springy, rich in savoury soy-and-lard sauce. And the char siew was tender and sweet.
Greatly satisfied, they complimented the chef and went out dancing reminiscing the superbly crispy roast pork.
