One sunny and hot morning after a brisk walk at Taman Tun Dr Ismail Park, Chou Che Che drove his MyVi with Jo Pi Pi in the passenger seated next to him, to Chequers Café at Taman Tun Dr Ismail area. It was a short drive. The weather was hot and humid and they quickly stride to the café. Once entered into the café, it was cooling. What a relief from the current weather.
Chou Che Che and Jo Pi Pi sat down and called the waiteress to come. Chou Che Che requested for Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab Pasta and Jo Pi Pi ordered Signature Fried Chicken Waffle.
The pasta came, dished right out from the pan. It tasted slightly spicy coupled with the curry leaves which gave a local kick and savoury too. The softshell crab was crispy and tangy.
On the first bite, the fried chicken oozed out hot chicken juicy flavour, a tinge of jalapeno spiciness and was crispy too. As for the waffle was mildly sweet, a matching combination with the savoury taste of the fried chicken.
Chou Che Che and Jo Pi Pi were quite full and burps uttered out of their mouths.
