We decided to get value for money so we ordered Set DS5 the Friday Set Special. It’s the Bursting Meatballs Noodle. I chose the large noodle and milky broth soup and my partner chose the Yee Mee and also the same type of broth as I picked.
Our sets comes with a Cincau(herb jelly like dessert usually black in colour) cold drink and few pieces of Cripsy Beancurd Skin. The drink was cold and a little sweet and the jelly was smooth and slippery. The cincau tasted slightly bitter but covered by the sweet sugar water, so it’s not very bitter. The Beancurd Skin was awfully crispy and I loved it.
Then the noodles came, the broth was savoury and has a bit of Chinese wine in it. The noodles were smooth, a bit firm and cuts off easily. When I bit the meatball, it spouted out a meaty broth juice and I could feel the spongy texture of meatball. It was superb and tender tasting. I ate this noodles with relish.
I feel satisfied after the meal. The cost per set was reasonable, worth the value given the drink and the crispy beancurd skin.
We paid about RM 32 for both including tax and service. It was a good dinner.
