Once we in Velocity Mall, the cool air of the air-conditioner brought much relieve to our baked bodies. We took the lift up to the 4th floor. It's where food court is situated. There are many restaurants to choose from as we walked. We made up our minds to go to Prawn Noodle King. This prawn mee was introduced to Penang long ago by immigrants from Fu Jian province in China. It flourished and spread from Penang to Kuala Lumpur years later.
From the menu, I ordered the Original Prawn Noodle set and my partner requested for Pork Belly Prawn Noodle set. These sets comes with a drink. We chose ice black tea (no milk).
Both bowls of prawn noodles have a kind of prawn paste on top of them. It tasted flavourful and delicious. For the Original noodle, it has slices of pork, few medium size prawns, bean sprouts and half a hard boil egg. The broth seemed to be cooked with prawn shells and head. It was just nice, not too thick or watery. As for the Pork Belly Prawn noodle, the small chunks of oven grilled pork belly were crunchy.
It was a sumptuous meal and costs around RM32.
