Village Park Restaurant

teh tarik

On the outside the appearance of the shop might not be impressive but it is packed with customers. It's fame preceded its external looks. We went in. It is extended to the next shop lot and is air conditioned. We ordered Nasi Lemak Biasa (common) and Nasi Lemak Goreng Ayam. As for drinks we called for Teh Tarik or Pull Tea, of course, with ice cubes as we were feeling hot after being outside under the sun for some time.

nasi lemak biasa

Our food came. The Nasi Lemak was fantastic. It came with roast peanuts, cucumber, anchovies, sambal (chili sauce paste made from a variety of chili peppers and ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar and lime juice) and half a boiled egg. The goreng ayam (fried chicken) was juicy and mouth-watering. The Pull Tea was good.

The entire meal came up to about RM21. It was a fabulous lunch. I will definitely come back again.
